Cake anyone?

Rylan's birthday cake. I cheated and just bought one from Sams Club. He didn't seem to mind though.
He wanted me to wipe his fingers off at first.

He decided it would be a better idea to just pick up the whole piece and eat it that way. Maybe in his one year old mind he figured it would be less messy:)

Once the frosting was smeared all over he started throwing the cake everywhere. The frosting was a hit, cake maybe not so much. Not a big shock coming from the baby who doesn't like the texture of bread!

Happy Birthday Rylan

One short year ago Rylan came into our family.

This is Rylan at two weeks old. Here he is on his birthday!

So much has changed over the last year. I am happy to not be sleep deprived anymore! Rylan is such a good baby. We are so blessed to have him in our family. I look forward to watching him grow and follow his big brothers and sister around. He is already such a copy-cat to them. He really loves having them home this summer.

Graduation

She did it! Kennedy graduated from Preschool and is moving on to Kindergarten! WOW I can't believe she will be starting school, riding a bus, and being away all day long, 5 days a week!!!

Here she is with her "Ticket to Kindergarten"

Kennedy and Ms. Jodee. We sure loved her preschool this year. Ms. Jodee is wonderful! Kennedy would love for her to move up to the big school with her.

Awards

The last week of school both Mason and Trevan were given awards at Loy's awards assembly. Trevan was given 4 awards this time. He was given the top award, the Principal LOYalty award. An award for great scores on his testing for the second half of the year.
He also received a reading award for minutes read after school, and an academic award.

Mason was given an award for being on the Honor Roll.

We are so proud of both boys for all their hard work at school this year.

Sage and the mouse

One night Mason and I had the "privilege" of watching Sage catch a mouse in the yard. It took her a while to dig the mouse out of it's hole, but once she did she wasn't quite sure what to do with it. She tried playing with it for a bit but the mouse was so scared it just sat there in fear.

I had Mason take Sage inside while I "took" care of the mouse. Such gross things I had to take care of while George was basking in the sun!
