YEAH! We finally made it here. It took a couple of days, one of them being verrrrrry long. We were supposed to fly out of Ramstein Germany on Wednesday Oct. 8, but that plane broke down somewhere around Kuwait so we were pushed back 24 hours. We didn't fly a military aircraft, but a commercial one that caters to the military, if that makes any since. So we stayed one more night and left Thursday. We "hung" out at the terminal for quite a long afternoon before our flight was to leave. We were supposed to be in the air at 6 pm, but as these things go that didn't happen. I think we took off around 7:30 or so. The kids were so excited they could hardly stand the anticipation. Once we were seated the questions began. If I haven't said so before Mason is the kid of not 20 questions, but hundreds, yes hundreds. It is good he is so curious but after a while it wears on my brain. He is the only one who didn't get any sleep, he just couldn't get comfortable enough. Trevan fell asleep shortly after the dinner was served and cleaned up. It wasn't dinner for us considering the uneatable creation they tried to serve us. George is the only one who ate it. Trevan and I tried it but it didn't make it past one little bite. So the 4 of us had a meal of rolls and crackers, oh yeah and the sweet nectar, Dr. Pepper! We landed at BWI around 9:45pm and then had to get through customs, and then wait for our luggage, and as our luck goes we waited on one bag until the very end! Now mind you our body clocks were at 4am so we were all very tired and getting pretty cranky with each other. After collecting bags and more bags, we found the bus that would take us to our rental car agency, which was another 15 minute drive. We sat there for about an hour waiting for the van. By the time we got to the hotel it was 7am on our time, 1 am Baltimore time. At least we all slept well and don't have any jet lag. I have always heard you don't get it coming back and it is totally true. Today we did a little sight seeing around the city, you know the typical stuff, bums sleeping on benches with their pants undone! We found a fun park for the kids to play at. You would think they would have wanted to stay and play for a long time but they didn't! Kennedy had to go potty so we told the boys we would come back but they said they were done and would rather go back to the hotel and swim. So we did. We are looking forward for the next leg of our journey tomorrow. We are going to try to get to Indianapolis. Wish us luck!

I'm glad you guys didn't have jet lag. We did! We were so tired and thrown off our sleeping rythm for a week. Welcome to the states!
Everyone asked how you guys were doing! I told them you would try and blog about it and you did! Good luck on the next leg!
