Mason had his pinewood derby pac meeting on Thursday, March 30th. His car this year was very unusual. He choose to design it as a pencil. I think it ended up looking pretty good, he even gave it the number 2! (you know, a number 2 pencil) I think he was pretty proud of it. 
Here he is with his car and his "drivers license". The boys even had to pass both a written test and an eye test in order to get their license.

His car won Grand Champion. He got this award not for the fastest car, but for the best attitude. He was having so much fun and didn't once get discouraged.
The unusual car award! He also got a ribbon thing to wear on his uniform, if he wants, for being the grand champion.
