Cake anyone?

Rylan's birthday cake. I cheated and just bought one from Sams Club. He didn't seem to mind though.
He wanted me to wipe his fingers off at first.

He decided it would be a better idea to just pick up the whole piece and eat it that way. Maybe in his one year old mind he figured it would be less messy:)

Once the frosting was smeared all over he started throwing the cake everywhere. The frosting was a hit, cake maybe not so much. Not a big shock coming from the baby who doesn't like the texture of bread!

Happy Birthday Rylan

One short year ago Rylan came into our family.

This is Rylan at two weeks old. Here he is on his birthday!

So much has changed over the last year. I am happy to not be sleep deprived anymore! Rylan is such a good baby. We are so blessed to have him in our family. I look forward to watching him grow and follow his big brothers and sister around. He is already such a copy-cat to them. He really loves having them home this summer.

Graduation

She did it! Kennedy graduated from Preschool and is moving on to Kindergarten! WOW I can't believe she will be starting school, riding a bus, and being away all day long, 5 days a week!!!

Here she is with her "Ticket to Kindergarten"

Kennedy and Ms. Jodee. We sure loved her preschool this year. Ms. Jodee is wonderful! Kennedy would love for her to move up to the big school with her.

Awards

The last week of school both Mason and Trevan were given awards at Loy's awards assembly. Trevan was given 4 awards this time. He was given the top award, the Principal LOYalty award. An award for great scores on his testing for the second half of the year.
He also received a reading award for minutes read after school, and an academic award.

Mason was given an award for being on the Honor Roll.

We are so proud of both boys for all their hard work at school this year.

Sage and the mouse

One night Mason and I had the "privilege" of watching Sage catch a mouse in the yard. It took her a while to dig the mouse out of it's hole, but once she did she wasn't quite sure what to do with it. She tried playing with it for a bit but the mouse was so scared it just sat there in fear.

I had Mason take Sage inside while I "took" care of the mouse. Such gross things I had to take care of while George was basking in the sun!

Pinewood Derby

Mason had his pinewood derby pac meeting on Thursday, March 30th. His car this year was very unusual. He choose to design it as a pencil. I think it ended up looking pretty good, he even gave it the number 2! (you know, a number 2 pencil) I think he was pretty proud of it. Here he is with his car and his "drivers license". The boys even had to pass both a written test and an eye test in order to get their license. The pencil getting ready to race.
Mason being presented with an award. He looks so excited, don't you think?

His car won Grand Champion. He got this award not for the fastest car, but for the best attitude. He was having so much fun and didn't once get discouraged.
The unusual car award! He also got a ribbon thing to wear on his uniform, if he wants, for being the grand champion.

Rylan's morning (9months)

Here is a glimpse at a morning with Rylan. (the following is what I believe to be his thoughts) Oh, I wanna watch Disney Jr. with Kennedy, wait mom has the camera, I had better look her way. I think I am done with sitting here. I am gonna go get into something.
My favorite spot to make a mess. I love sitting under the computer desk and pulling everything off the shelves. There's mom again, I better look cute and innocent.
Busted again, guess I should get out of here.
Ok fine, here I go to find something else to do.
Maybe if I give mom a smile she will clean up my mess for me. Thanks mom, now I can have something to do later.
Man this toy is huge. It is so hard to get into my mouth, but I have finally mastered it!
Hi mom!
